Get Ready to Run In Red!

The Lincoln City Half Marathon team are inviting you to race to your wardrobe and #RunInRed when heading out for a run or walk to mark the weekend of what would have been our first Half Marathon event on Sunday 20 September 2020.

Following the decision earlier this year to postpone the event to support the efforts to tackle the spread of Coronavirus, organisers at Lincoln City Foundation and Curly’s Athletes have continued their work behind the scenes to bring their 13.1 mile road race to Lincoln in 2021.

To kick-start the event countdown to 19 September 2021 and to recognise our runners that have already secured their place on the start line near Boultham Park at our #ImpsHalf2021, we are inviting people to dust off the post-lockdown training plans and join our online campaign to Run in Red.  Get Involved:

  • Find something to #RunInRed (t-shirt, shorts, socks, 80’s style headband)

  • Get out there, wherever you are on Saturday 19 September and Sunday 20 September (run, jog, walk; any distance)

You might want to post more than once and total up your miles to half marathon distance.

Whether this is part of your ongoing training, the start of your next challenge, or your way of saying you will not be beaten by the disappointment of what has been an unforgettable year, we look forward to seeing your posts. Rest assured we are doing all we can to bring you a city-wide event to celebrate next year.

Stay Safe:

For Lincoln City Foundation and Curly’s Athletes safety remains a priority and we ask all participants to adhere to government safety and social distancing guidelines.

We would advise you not to attempt to run the Lincoln City Half Marathon route and avoid taking part in large groups during this time.
